One Pan Cheesy Jalapeño Chicken

This dish is the perfect mix of cozy and kick. Creamy cheese, a hint of spice, and tender chicken all come together in one skillet—no fuss, just flavor. It’s a crowd-pleaser with a little personality and a lot of comfort.

4 small chicken breasts, skinless and boneless

1 tsp cumin

½ tsp paprika

½ tsp chili powder

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

½ white onion, finely chopped

2 jalapeños, seeded and diced

3 garlic cloves, minced

¼ cup heavy cream

⅓ cup chicken broth

2 oz cream cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Sliced jalapeños for garnish

Instructions

Season chicken with cumin, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, melt butter. Add onion, jalapeños, and garlic. Sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3–4 minutes.

Stir in chicken broth, cream, and cream cheese. Simmer until sauce thickens, about 3 minutes.

Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Return chicken to skillet and coat with sauce.

Garnish with extra jalapeños and serve warm.
